Homestead Foods is a local farm in Kelowna focused on growing clean, high-quality food for our community.

Our farm combines outdoor vegetable production and hydroponic greenhouse growing, supplying our year-round farm market with fresh produce.

We are currently hiring seasonal farm workers to support both our outdoor growing areas and hydroponic greenhouse systems during the upcoming season.

These roles are hands-on and involve real farm work. The work can be physical, fast-paced, and incredibly rewarding for people who enjoy being outdoors, working with their hands, and learning how food is grown.

No farming experience is required for many of our positions — we’re happy to teach people who are reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn.

🌿 Outdoor Farm Crew

📍 Kelowna, BC
💰 Starting at $20/hour
📅 Full-time seasonal (Spring–Fall)

Our outdoor crew helps grow and harvest vegetables across our field production areas.

This is a hands-on farm job involving planting, harvesting, weeding, and maintaining crops throughout the growing season.

Tasks may include

• Planting and transplanting vegetables
• Weeding and maintaining garden beds
• Harvesting crops such as carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and greens
• Washing and packing produce
• Preparing produce for our farm market
• General farm maintenance tasks

This role is a good fit for someone who

• Enjoys physical outdoor work
• Is reliable and shows up ready to work
• Works well as part of a team
• Is interested in farming and local food

Farm work requires lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in changing weather conditions.

Experience is helpful but not required — we are happy to teach the right people.

🌱 Hydroponic Greenhouse Team

📍 Kelowna, BC
💰 Starting at $20/hour
📅 Full-time seasonal (Spring–Fall)

Our hydroponic greenhouse produces lettuce and herbs year-round using vertical growing systems.

We are looking for 2–3 team members to help manage seeding, transplanting, harvesting, and system maintenance.

Tasks may include

• Seeding trays for lettuce and herbs
• Transplanting seedlings into hydroponic towers
• Monitoring plant health
• Pruning and crop maintenance
• Harvesting lettuce and herbs
• Washing, packing, and labeling produce
• Cleaning equipment and growing systems

This role is detail-oriented and requires consistency and focus.

This role is ideal for someone who

• Enjoys organized, process-driven work
• Has strong attention to detail
• Works well independently and with a team
• Is interested in controlled-environment agriculture

Experience with hydroponics or greenhouse production is helpful but not required.
