Ingredients
- 1 round artisan sourdough loaf
- 200 g Brie cheese
- Cranberry sauce or cranberry jam, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, roughly chopped
- 150 g butter, melted
- Honey, for drizzling
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
-
Prepare the Sourdough
Using a sharp bread knife, make diagonal cuts across the loaf, approximately 2 cm (¾ inch) apart.
Be careful not to cut all the way through to the bottom. You want the loaf to remain intact.
Turn the bread and repeat the diagonal cuts in the opposite direction, creating a crisscross pattern of small squares.
-
Add the Rosemary Butter
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and freshly chopped rosemary.
Generously brush the rosemary butter over the entire loaf, making sure to get plenty between the cuts.
-
Stuff with Brie
Slice the Brie into thin strips or small pieces.
Gently tuck the cheese into the cuts throughout the loaf, distributing it evenly so every bite has delicious melted Brie.
-
Add the Cranberry Sauce
Using a small spoon or knife, spread cranberry sauce or jam between the slices of bread.
Add as much or as little as you prefer, depending on how sweet you like it.
-
Bake Until Warm and Melty
Wrap the prepared loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the Brie is beautifully melted and the bread is heated through.
For a crispier, golden top, carefully open the foil during the final few minutes of baking.
-
Drizzle and Serve
Remove the bread from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil.
Finish with a generous drizzle of honey for the perfect touch of sweetness.
Serve warm and let everyone pull apart their own delicious, cheesy pieces!
