Unwashed Free-Range Eggs

Our Happy, Healthy Hens lay a beautiful variety of eggs in all the colours of the egg rainbow. Our free-range hens are fed the best quality organic feed and enjoy all the seed and bugs their hearts desire.

Unwashed eggs have a protein film called a “cuticle” or a “bloom” on it that seals the egg shell and makes them shelf stable. We recommend keeping your unwashed eggs in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks. They can be refrigerated for < 2 month.

When you’re ready to wash your eggs, use warm water with a little soap. Do not rest your eggs in the water as they will become porous once the cuticle has been rinsed off. Sanitize your carton and replace in the fridge for up to 5 weeks.
