What’s Included When You Buy Bulk Beef

Buying beef in bulk is a great way to fill your freezer with high-quality, grass-fed Okanagan beef. Here’s a clear breakdown of what you can expect when purchasing an ⅛, ¼, or ½ cow, how the meat is packaged, and why total weights may vary.

⅛ Cow (Eighth Beef)

Approx. 55–65 lbs of packaged beef (varies by animal size)
An eighth cow is a great option for smaller households or anyone wanting to try bulk beef without needing a large freezer.

Steaks (approx. 5–7 total)

  • Ribeye
  • New York
  • Sirloin cuts
  • Tenderloin

Roasts (approx. 1–2 total)

  • Inside round
  • Cross rib
  • Sirloin tip

Ground & Stew

  • ~25 lbs ground beef
  • ~2–3 lbs stew meat

¼ Cow (Quarter Beef)

Approx. 120 lbs of packaged beef (varies by animal size)
A mixed quarter includes a balanced selection from both the front and rear of the animal.

How Your Beef Is Packaged

All meat is:

  • Professionally butchered
  • Vacuum-sealed for long freezer life
  • Labeled by cut
  • Frozen immediately for freshness

Vacuum sealing provides excellent protection against freezer burn and keeps beef fresh for up to 2 years.
